Section 14: Managed Agents, Capstone & Graduating to Claude Code

The final section of this course brings together everything you’ve learned, points to the specialized vertical capabilities that extend what Cowork can do, and gives you a clear picture of what comes next if you want to go further.

Why this section matters

The course has covered the foundations of Claude Chat and the agentic capabilities of Cowork. Section 14 does three things: it introduces Managed Agents and vertical Plugins for specialized professional domains; it frames the capstone as a deliberate system design exercise; and it orients you toward Claude Code and the developer ecosystem for learners who want to go deeper.

What you’ll learn

Managed Agents and vertical bundles. Anthropic and third parties provide pre-built agentic systems for specific professional domains: Legal, Financial Services, Small Business, Marketing Operations. These are purpose-built, governed AI agents with the context, tools, and review workflows appropriate for their domain.

When a plugin or managed agent beats a DIY workflow. Not every workflow should be built from scratch. The decision framework for when to install a pre-built solution versus when to build your own.

A short orientation to Claude Code and Channels. For learners who want to go beyond non-coding use into developer-level Claude capabilities. What’s available, what it requires, and what it enables.

Designing a complete Claude system. The capstone framework: how to bring privacy, review, and success criteria together into an end-to-end workflow design that’s ready to deploy and evaluate.

The capstone mini project

You’ll design one end-to-end workflow that uses at least five features across Chat and Cowork. The design includes: the use case, the features it uses, the privacy rules that govern it, the review steps at each stage, the success criteria, and the final deliverable. This is a full system design, not a technical implementation exercise. It demonstrates that you can think clearly about how AI workflows are constructed, governed, and evaluated.

How to approach this section

Section 14 is both conclusion and orientation. The Managed Agents topic expands your awareness of what’s already built. The capstone project synthesizes what you’ve learned. The Claude Code orientation opens a door for learners who want to continue.

Take the capstone seriously. Designing a real system you’d actually deploy is worth more than completing an exercise. If you’ve been building toward a specific workflow throughout the course, this is where you document and finalize it.
