Account Research

Section 7 — Skills, Plugins & Chat Power Features

sales:account-research

Research companies and people for sales intelligence.

Produces a structured account intelligence brief — company background, relevant signals, key people and their likely priorities, existing tech or vendor relationships, and a recommended entry strategy. Deeper and more strategic than outreach prep, useful before a major pitch or when breaking into a new account type.

EverClean example

sales:account-research

Target: Meridian Luxury Homes
Type: Custom home builder
Location: Paradise Valley and Scottsdale, AZ
Size: ~40 homes per year, average build value $2.8M

Research focus:
- Their kitchen specification process — do they use a design partner,
  in-house designer, or client-directed?
- Current appliance vendors they spec (Miele? Sub-Zero? Wolf?)
- Who makes purchasing decisions on appliances — project manager,
  designer, procurement team, or principals?
- Any public signals about their design philosophy — do they lean
  minimalist or traditional?
- Best entry point — cold outreach, trade show, referral from architect?

Our goal: Understand whether Meridian is a good fit for a builder
preferred vendor arrangement (committing to EverClean on 5+ homes/year
in exchange for preferred pricing and co-marketing).

What you’ll get: A structured account brief — company overview, design philosophy signals from their website and press, likely decision-making structure, current vendor relationships where visible, recommended entry point (likely through a shared architect or designer contact rather than cold outreach), and a risk flag if their build style skews traditional rather than open-plan.

Useful follow-up prompts

  • “Who are the 3 most likely individual contacts at Meridian to approach first and what’s the right message for each?”
  • “Which other luxury builders in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley should we be targeting with the same preferred vendor pitch?”
  • “What would a preferred vendor agreement with a builder like Meridian typically look like — what do they get and what do we get?”
